3 questions

1.Annie has been asked to calculate 1.7+6/2.She claims that the answer is 3.85.Do you agree/.Explain why or why not
I don't agree because if you use BEDMAS:
1.7+6/2
1.7+3
4.7

2.put brackets in the following expression to get the largest value possible. What problem solving strategy did you use? 3x2.8+6.4 ÷ 4
You can do it 2 ways:
(3x2.8)+6.4 ÷ 4
8.4+6.4 ÷4
8.4+ 1.6=
10
or
3x2.8+(6.4 ÷ 4)
3x2.8 1.6
8.4+ 1.6=
10
Here's a video that might help you!

3.Create a problem that could be solved using th following expression:2.5+1.25+5x 1.6
Jayne is on garage sale she saw a set of 2 plate and cup for 2.5.She saw a pencil case that have 5 unused eraser on it on it that cost 1.25.Then saw a pack of pencil that cost 1.6 then she buy 5 of them.Thetotal of things she bought $11.75
